Day's Soap - Chinaman Doing Washing, Mechanical. Scarce 5-1/2 x 4 inch card copyrighted 1887 and printed by Avil & Co. Phila. in which he scrubs a shirt with Day's Soap when the tab is pulled down (animated), 6-line verse below beginning with "Washee, washee, see him rub, On his washboard in the tub," R-adv. VG, front crease from tub to bottom edge, rounded edges, 1" repaired tear on reverse. Brought $37.00 as Lot 125.32 in Trade Card Place Auction 125 on 10/19/06.
