Hembold's Fluid Extract of Sarsaparilla, powerful Civil War image, dated 1863, of Columbia standing over a fallen Black soldier extending a wreath, "He Died For Me." Also important as many students of trade cards believe this to be the earliest use of color stock cards for an advertising campaign. This card is #12 of the rare set and the most important historically and graphically of the set. Never before offered at auction. Light corner crease UR. VG. Brought $475 in Victorian Images Auction 53 on 5/24/01.
