The
Uncle Sam card is one of the best Uncle Sam trade cards
around, and isn't a bad bank card, either. Our favorite
uncle looks impeccable as he stands erect atop the ornate
base of his bank. His carefully rolled umbrella is at hand,
perhaps subliminally conveying the wisdom of saving for a
rainy day. The
colors on the Uncle Sam card are strong, and the card is an
example of the finest of Courier Litho's
work. Courier
issued the Uncle Sam card in 1886. It is shown here at 85
percent of full size.
